The Health Ministry has decided to reduce the cut-off marks for  National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for post-graduation (NEET-PG) by six percentile for the academic year 2019-20 itself.
According to the new decision, general category candidates with a minimum mark of 44 percentile will now be eligible for admission to medical courses. Also, persons with disabilities category with a minimum of marks at 39 percentile and, SC/ST and OBC category candidates at 34 percentile will become eligible for admission to Post Graduate courses for the academic year 2019-20.
The release also ordered that all states and Union territories are requested to make necessary arrangements for allowing students as per revised qualifying marks in any further rounds of counselling this year.
