Shame India! Look what you do to your Doctors – Horrifying images of Doctors getting attacked all over India.
These are not images of patients. They are images of the Doctors. Some of them who have spent decades in learning medicine and then sleepless nights to care for patients. Do you think they deserve this? Shame on you India! For this cruelty.THIS HAS TO STOP. Period.
April 2015
A group of people barged into Life Line hospital in Panvel, Mumbai and attacked on duty doctors. These doctors were not even involved in treating the deceased patient. Later, the Mumbai doctor also spoke about the ordeal he had to undergo because of the attack.
In the same month, leading gastroenterologist was attacked in Allahabad. The doctor’s daughter also spoke later about the ordeal a family has to undergo after such brutal incidences. The video of the attack was also available on YouTube.
May 2015
A junior doctor from Maharashtra was manhandled, which was also caught on camera.
Not soon, a renowned gynaecologist was assaulted by patient’s relatives. And what she did was “just declaring an intrauterine death”.
June 2015
A doctor from Indore was attacked brutally with a drip stand by patient’s relatives. The attack was so previous that the attending doctors were not sure whether he would get his eye sight back.Other articles of interest : USMLE World
Other assaults in 2015
In January, doctors in GTB hospital were assaulted by a mob of some nearly 20-25 members from a nearby village after patient’s death.
In February, the students of Lady Hardinge Medical College had gone on strike protesting against sexual assault against a medical student.
A lot of hue and cry is made over PCPNDT act and government is planning to make it more stricter. But a doctor was attacked when he tried to ask for the mandatory ID card before performing USG.

A video of a doctor attacked is widely circulated in the social media. The assault on the doctor was allegedly carried out by politician from North Karnataka.
